Suggested Recipe: Slow-Cooked Barbeque Brisket
Ingredients:
- 1 kilo Flat Brisket
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 250 ml beef stock
- 200 ml barbecue sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the Rub: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the brisket, ensuring it's fully coated. Let the brisket marinate for at least one hour, or overnight for best results.
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 150°C.
Prepare the Cooking Liquid: In a mixing bowl, whisk together beef stock, barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.
Cook the Brisket: Place the brisket in a deep roasting pan and pour the cooking liquid over it. Cover the pan tightly with foil and place it in the oven.
Slow Cook: Cook the brisket for about 3 to 4 hours, or until it's tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
Serve: Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice against the grain and serve with a drizzle of the cooking juices and your favourite sides.
Enjoy the deep, smoky flavours and the melt-in-your-mouth texture of this classic barbeque brisket, a true testament to the versatility and delight that our Flat Brisket can bring to your table.
